# Notion Integration

{% hint style="info" %}
This integration was released recently! If you have issues please reach out to Chris (<chris@aloa.co>) for support :)
{% endhint %}

## How it works

Our Notion integration allows you to sync items from any (or multiple) Notion database into an Ellie list.

These tasks will also have a special Notion icon and a deep link to open it in Notion.

## How to enable the integration

1. Go to Settings -> Integrations in Ellie
2. Link the Notion integration (which will let you select any Notion workspace)
3. Once your Notion workspace is linked, click into it and add a new database connection
4. Select the Notion database + relevant filters and import will begin from the Notion database into Ellie
5. Ellie tasks from this integration will have a Notion icon

## 2-way sync

The integration allows you to sync data (the name and completion status) back to Notion if you choose to enable it

{% hint style="info" %}
Note on deletion: deleting a task in Ellie does **NOT** delete it in Notion
{% endhint %}

## I don't see my Notion database

There are 2 main reasons for this:

1. You have not shared the database with the Ellie integration.
 1. Go to Notion and open the database
 2. Click on the three dot button in the top right corner c. Scroll down and find "Connections", and add Ellie
2. The database is not the original (but just a "view" of that database)
 1. Unfortunately Notion does not allow us to access views of databases, just the original

{% hint style="info" %}
Please contact <chris@aloa.co> if you have issues with the integration
{% endhint %}

## Accidentally imported 1000 tasks?

You can click the 3 dot menu at the right and an option to delete all imported tasks is at the bottom :)\
\
This is great if you put the wrong filter and accidently imported too many tasks.
